Tuesday 21 Feb. 2012 "Portsmouth to Arundel Canal"
Speaker: Adge Roberts
This talk covers the history of this unsuccessful canal, shows visible remains, archaeological finds, and conservation works that have been carried out along this nine mile stretch. There will be nearly 100 slides to illustrate the talk.

Tuesday 20 Mar. 2012 "Amberley Museum"
Speaker: Brinley Thomas
We are pleased that our speaker is well and able to give the talk we expected last year. We have all probably visited the museum either voluntarily or with the children/grandchildren and enjoyed it. Now you have the opportunity to learn of its history and what a working day is like.

What was it like to live in a Sussex village circa 1300? - the lives, mores, customs, working day, food & drink, clothing, and much more. Mark is a well known popular historian based in Brighton and a descendant of the Pavilion architect.
